Practice Rounds
Practice rounds are an important part of training before a competition. This allows a dancer to attach an entire program of dances together mentally, develop muscular memory of technique and dances, and gain stamina for the competition experience. Practice makes permanent and repetition is the key to success.
Rounds are usually:
Smooth: Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, and Viennese Waltz
Ballroom: Slow Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slow Foxtrot, and Quickstep
Rhythm: Cha Cha, Rumba, East Coast Swing, Bolero, and Mambo
Latin: Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, and Jive
Nightclub: Hustle, West Coast Swing, Merengue, Salsa, and Nightclub Two-Step
